Weight Management Service Healthy Eating pathway
As part of the pathway, all patients are invited to attend a dietetic education session. This session provides advice and support to help people make sustainable changes to their diet and work towards their individual weight management goals.
At the end of the session, patients will be supported to identify their own SMART goals (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-bound) based on areas they wish to work on .
Dietetic 1:1 appointments can be arranged for people that have a specific dietary need or for those where a group session is not appropriate due to reasonable adjustments.
Patients can access a range of health promotion sessions covering topics such as food labelling, portion sizes and healthy eating principles.
Group health promotion sessions and self-care videos
The Weight Management Service offers weekly group health promotion sessions, both face-to-face at a range of venues across Wirral, and delivered virtually via Microsoft Teams. The sessions cover a different topic each week relating to nutrition and healthy eating. The sessions can be booked using the log-in details provided upon access to the service, or by telephone via our Weight Management Admin Team on 0151 604 7271.
