The 0-19 journey starts during pregnancy and your child will remain under the care of the service until the age of 19 or the age of 25 for young people with complex health needs.
Throughout their journey your child will receive care from health visitors, school nurses (primary and secondary school) and vaccinators and will be offered a number of appointments including health checks and screenings and immunisations. Additional support may also be offered if required.
If a family transfers into the area they are made aware of the service by the Child Health Department, GP or other relevant organisation.
