Wirral Community Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust (WCHC) is proud to launch a month of family friendly community events to celebrate breastfeeding throughout Wirral.
Hosted by the Trust’s Infant Feeding Team and in partnership with Koala North West, the events aim to highlight the health benefits of breastfeeding and encourage a wider network of support – from partners and grandparents to friends and community members.
With a series of Breastfeeding Get Togethers and a Teddy Bears’ Picnic, the campaign invites families to come together, learn more about breastfeeding, and connect with others on the same journey.
The community events provide a welcoming environment for families to access free fun activities, information and support, helpful resources and a chance to connect with others who are passionate about supporting breastfeeding.

Clare Whitehead, Infant Feeding Lead said; We want to encourage everyone – not just mums – to feel part of the breastfeeding journey. Whether you’re a grandparent, partner, friend or neighbour, your support can make a huge difference.
From helping with household chores, caring for other family members such as young children, preparing meals and snacks to encouraging mum to join breastfeeding support groups and providing a listening ear, we can all play an important role in the breastfeeding journey. Get involved and be part of Wirral’s growing breastfeeding community.
