To support the reduction of healthcare associated infections (HCAI) the Infection Prevention and Control Service (IPCS) is offering bitesize training and educational sessions to all providers of adult social care (ASC).
The training will focus on system priorities to include:
- Reducing Urinary Tract Infections (UTI) and improving hydration
- Reducing the impact of Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) and Gram-Negative Blood Stream Infections (GNBSI)
- The management of unexplained diarrhoea and Clostridioides Difficile (C.diff)
- Principles to strengthen IPC to include standard and transmission-based precautions
