Wirral has excellent transportation links including Merseytravel’s bus network, Merseyrail’s train network, accessible motorway links to Manchester, North Wales and Chester as well as the Mersey Ferry service which operates a commuter service between Seacombe and Liverpool. If you don’t fancy the Ferry you can take the car or bus through either of the Mersey Tunnels, which connect Wirral to the city of Liverpool (Kingsway Tunnel from Wallasey or Queensway Tunnel from Birkenhead).
Cheshire East has good transport links to large cities including Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham. Transportation networks include bus, rail and coach, as well as accessible motorway links with the M6 running through the borough.
You can visit Cheshire East Council’s public transport web page for timetables and further information.
