The Urgent Treatment Centre at Arrowe Park is open for both walk-in or bookable attendance slots.
For a pre-bookable slot please call NHS 111. The Team will assess your needs and direct you to the most appropriate service to receive care. You can also visit 111.nhs.uk.
If you need to access this service, please use the Eye Department entrance.
We provide assessment, treatment and advice for minor injuries and illnesses including:
- Minor burns, scalds and bruises
- Sprains and strains
- Minor cuts and wounds
- Minor head injuries (without loss of consciousness)
- Bites and stings
- Minor eye conditions (such as infections or foreign bodies)
- Skin problems (including rashes, infections and sunburn)
- Fever and general infections
- Stomach pain, vomiting or diarrhoea
- Urinary infections and painful urination
- Earache or sinus pain
- Headaches (non-severe)
- Sore throat
- Emergency contraception and related advice
- Other minor illnesses and ailments
- Mild asthma or breathing difficulties
- Back, neck or joint pain
This service does not include X-ray facilities. If needed, we will arrange for your X-ray to be undertaken at another location.
Opening hours:
Monday – Sunday 8.00am – 10.00pm (including bank holidays). Please note, there are no walk-ins
after 10.00pm unless directed from the Emergency Department.

Free parking is available at Eastham and Victoria Central Walk-in Centres but charges may apply at Arrowe Park Hospital.
