RCN Industrial Action 18 & 19 January – impact on services
The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) has advised us that they are taking industrial action on Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 January 2023. As a result, a number of RCN members that work at Wirral Community Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust will be on strike on this day.
During strike action we will prioritise emergency treatment and patients seeking urgent treatment will be seen. Unfortunately, this means we have had to prioritise emergency care over some routine appointments and procedures.
Therefore, we will be operating a reduced service on both Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 January:
- Wednesday 18 January – the walk-in and wait clinic will not be operating. Please do not attend as we will not be able to see you.
- Thursday 19 January – there will be a reduced walk-in and wait service for urgent cases.
The service will be closing at 5.00pm on Thursday 19 January
If you have a pre booked appointment, please continue to attend and access our services as usual unless advised otherwise. You do not need to contact the service prior to your appointment.
