Transfer of School Age Immunisation Service in Wirral
From Monday 1 September 2025, the management of the School Age Immunisation Service with transfer to IntraHealth, who provide this service in the North West across Greater Manchester, Lancashire, and other areas across England.
Schools will continue to see the same health professionals and should not experience any disruption to services as a direct result of this transfer.
From this date, records for pupils which have parental consent for immunisations they have not yet received, will be safely passed to Intrahealth to make sure their care continues. The records will remain secure and confidential in line with the IntraHealth’s privacy statement.
Consent for school age vaccinations is via an e-consent form instead of paper forms sent home from school.
Online forms are used by parents and carers to consent for all school-based vaccinations:
- Seasonal flu
- DTP (diphtheria, tetanus, polio)
- HPV (human papillomavirus)
- MenACWY
- MMR (measles, mumps and rubella)
When competing an e-consent form parents and carers need to add the code for their child’s school. Find your child’s school code:
