I qualified as a registered nurse in 1999 and I have 15 years’ experience of working in community infection prevention and control. As interim Head of Infection Prevention and Control for the Trust, my role is very diverse and multi-faceted, with no two days being the same!
Life within an IPC service is often varied, and I enjoy the diversity that this role brings. It is hugely rewarding to think that we make a difference to those that we support and those that they care for.
Our team is made up of nursing and administrative staff, each of us is unique and brings different life and professional experiences to the roles that we do. We have a wide range of backgrounds which supports us to deliver an efficient, proactive, creative and innovative community IPC service.
By supporting people to have effective infection prevention and control processes in place, helps to ensure the delivery of high quality, safe care and protect people from harm. The IPC Team work hard to support colleagues across community health and social care settings.
