My name is Dr Mathew Tribe, and I am the GP for the Long Covid Service. I’ve trained and worked as a GP in Wirral since 2015. Prior to the pandemic I maintained special interests in heart health, women’s health, and chronic fatigue, which have been invaluable for my work with the Long Covid Service. In recent months I have been developing research proposals looking at ways to help GPs recognise more cases of long covid.
I am privileged to work with a passionate, supportive, and knowledgeable team, delivering tailored and informed treatment plans to our service users.
Long covid is a complex condition with diverse impacts to people’s lives and lifestyles. In the Long Covid Service, I can give people opportunity to get to the heart of their concerns and challenges.
Every day I see examples of our service users’ resilience and drive in the face of long covid; it is always rewarding to see patients developing the knowledge and insight to manage their symptoms and recovery.
