I provide specialist infection prevention and health protection advice in the community. I also support in the management of outbreaks of communicable disease, working in partnership with stakeholders and system partners to protect our local population.
Another aspect of my role involves the monitoring of infection rates. I work with a diverse range of health and social care stakeholders on a daily basis.
I enjoy the diversity of the role and that no two days are ever the same. I am always gaining new knowledge and skills. I enjoy making a difference by going above and beyond to improve quality of care, patient safety and to embed the Trust’s values into my practice.
We are a proactive, innovative, and responsive IPC team with a broad range of experience, expertise and skills which support in the planning and delivery of the service.
High quality care and patient safety is important to me. I feel passionate about supporting and educating health and care services and organisations to embed high standards of IPC into their practice, to reduce health care associated infections and to prevent avoidable harm to people.
