You have been referred to us by your general dentist for a dental assessment, as we have dental chairs that can accommodate patients who weigh up to 35 stone safely.
We will provide one course of treatment as requested by your general dentist; this may mean multiple appointments. After which we will discharge you back into the care of your general dentist. We will not be providing your ongoing care.
What to expect from your first visit
Treatment will not be carried out at your initial visit, it will be for an assessment only.
We will ask you questions about your general and dental health, examine your mouth and we may take x-rays.
We will also weigh you at this visit.
What to expect from treatment appointments
Treatment may be provided by undergraduate dental students from the University of Liverpool as part of their training, under the supervision of a dentist.
You may be put on a waiting list to receive treatment.
Once you have been given an appointment any cancellations must be made no later than 48 hours prior to your appointment. Failure to attend your appointment will result in you being discharged back to your own dentist.
