Celebrating International Nurses Week 2022

This week we have been celebrating International Nurses Week 2022. The Trust has been a hub of activity to show our appreciation to all our fellow nurses, from our community nurses and matrons, health visitors and school nurses, to our multitude of specialist nurses, urgent care nurses, associate and trainee nurses and all our other fantastic nursing staff.

On International Nurses Day, Thursday 12 May, we hosted a Virtual Celebration Event with special guests…

• Paula Simpson, Chief Nurse
• Sam Sherrington, Head of Community Nursing NHS England and NHS Improvement
• Siobhan Ebden, and Lesley Mills Community Nurse Fellows, from NHS England and NHS Improvement
• Tony Milllea, RCN Officer, Estephanie Dunn, Regional Director RCN
• Claire Wedge, Deputy Chief Nurse

At the event we also shared our nursing staff reflections, with videos sent in from colleagues around the Trust about how they got into nursing and why they’re passionate about what they do. Click the play button to watch the video below…
